1. Overview

The Laura Clinical Trial App is provided as part of an IRB-approved clinical trial conducted by Dux Healthcare Inc. in collaboration with Rambam Healthcare Campus. Its purpose is to collect EEG signals and related metadata to advance medical research. Your privacy is important to us, and we handle your data securely and responsibly in compliance with Israeli laws, IRB guidelines, and app store policies.

2. Data Collected

We collect and store the following types of information:
    EEG Data: Brainwave signals captured by EEG devices.
    User Information: Email address, phone number, username, Firebase authentication ID, registration and activity timestamps.
    Device Information: Device type, serial number, Bluetooth address, electrode configuration, usage frequency, and connection timestamps.
   Usage Analytics: Interaction data with the app, including app version and event tracking. We do not collect unrelated personal data such as your contacts, photos, or location.

3. Purpose of Data Collection

EEG data is collected exclusively for clinical research analysis. User and device data are used for account management, device pairing, ensuring proper study participation, and improving app functionality. Usage analytics help us optimize app performance and improve user experience. We do not use analytics for marketing or advertising.

4. Data Storage and Security

All data is securely stored on Google's Firebase platform. Data transmission and storage utilize modern encryption standards (HTTPS and encryption at rest). Only authorized research personnel have access to identifiable data, bound by strict confidentiality agreements.

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

Your data may be shared with:
    Research Team: Only authorized researchers from Dux Healthcare Inc. and Rambam Healthcare Campus have access for clinical study purposes.
    Regulatory and Ethical Authorities: Data may be reviewed by Rambam Healthcare Campus Helsinki Committee, ethics committees, and governmental bodies as required by law.
    Third-Party Providers: Google Firebase and Analytics process your data securely and strictly on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations. We never sell or rent your data for commercial purposes.

6. International Data Transfers

Your data may be stored on servers located outside Israel. We ensure your data receives protection compliant with Israeli privacy regulations, including contractual safeguards. By using the app, you consent to international transfers of your data for storage and processing.

7. Data Retention

We retain your identifiable data for 15 years following study completion, as required by clinical research standards and legal obligations. After this period, identifiable information will be removed or anonymized. De-identified data may be retained indefinitely for scientific analysis or publication.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:
   Request access to and correction of your personal data.
    Withdraw from the study at any time, stopping further data collection.
    Delete your account and request removal of your identifiable data from active databases.

9. Account Deletion

You can delete your account directly from within the app. Upon deletion, your personal identifiers and data will be removed from active storage, except for anonymized data retained for research purposes or legally required retention periods.

10. Updates to this Policy

We may update this privacy policy periodically. Significant changes will be communicated via the app or by email. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
